Director | Cultural Protection Fund – British Council
Stephanie Grant is the Director of the British Council’s Cultural Protection Fund, which was set up in 2016 to protect heritage at risk due to conflict in the Middle East and North Africa. Since she joined in 2019, she has overseen the award of nearly £25m in funding, expanded the fund’s geographical reach into East Africa and South Asia and increased the remit to protect heritage at risk due to climate change. Stephanie has an extensive background in funding across culture, heritage and
arts, including roles at the EU’s Creative Europe programme, Arts Council England and as a freelance development consultant for cultural organisations.
