Dr. Jasna Malešič is a heritage science researcher specializing in the conservation and preservation of library materials. She is based at the National and University Library of Slovenia (NUK) in Ljubljana. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, awarded in 2005.
From 2005 to 2017, Dr. Malešič led NUK’s Conservation and Preservation Department, after which she joined the library’s Research Department. She is the author of numerous scientific and professional publications in the field of heritage science. In addition to her research, she is actively involved in academia. She teaches preservation of library materials at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, and serves as an assistant professor of general chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology at the same university.
